Explicit Movement holds to the Biblical belief that sex is a gift of God reserved for marriage between one man and one woman.  Pastor Zach and Dennisa Bumgardner will share about the value of sexual purity and a vision for marriage.  Eddie Sariol will present Biblical truths and a practical, grace-filled approach that will empower students to confidently share with LGBT friends about why our hope is in Jesus.

Rejected from Your Family: How to handle rejection from the ones closest to you

– Pastor Joshua Ko

One of the most devastating rejections an individual can experience is rejection from the family.  With divorce at an all-time high and multiple marriages becoming a norm, students are faced with so many different challenges of feeling unwanted and unloved.  Jesus teaches us how to deal with rejection from our loved ones as well as heal our deep-seated wounds.  This breakout session seeks to help students acknowledge their current situation and reject the lies that come through other people’s decisions.

Friends are Fighters: What can happen when you fight for a friend

– Pastor Nick Love

As Christians, we sometimes give up on our friends when they fall into sin or if they do something that isn’t attractive.  However, their lives can be transformed when we go the extra mile to help and care for our friends that may feel they aren’t worthy of being in a relationship with Jesus Christ.  They might feel “Rejected,” but we can break the lies through our actions to help them understand they are loved.  In this break out session, we will look at proactive solutions for helping friends who are struggling. In addition, we will look at how all of us must have friends to help us through our journey.

Rejected to Accepted

– Pastor Mark Sagapolutele

Jesus didn’t say that your Christian life will be trouble-free.  On the contrary, He said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace.  In this world you will have trouble.  But take heart!  I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33)  Sometimes all it takes is a change of perspective.  In this session, Pastor Mark will share the emotional process of being rejected and rejecting others that he went through.

– Pastor Pat McFall

Think about this for just a minute: You are the most on-display person than anyone like you has ever been in history.  Wait, what?  Yes!  You and your friends are the most interconnected generation that has ever existed.  One minute you are recording a funny video with friends and the next minute millions of people can watch it and like it.  The world is literally in the palm of your hand.  So why is it that the most connected generation feels like the most disconnected?  How can we be confidently showing who we are on IG while at the same time asking for the #likeback in order to be sure?  Our social media profiles can either connect us or define us.  In this session, we’ll learn why one is so much better than the other.

Unfriended: Facing Rejection

– Pastor Lolan Lauvao

Rejection is a painful experience that can lead us to feel alone and heartbroken.  It can also feel like the hurt will not end.  This session focuses on how to overcome the spirit of rejection and how to handle being rejected by friends and peers.
