“Leaders understand the ultimate power of relationships.” – Tom Peters
We honor the incredibly powerful role that youth pastors and leaders have in impacting the rising generation. EXPLICIT Movement seeks to support and equip youth pastors and leaders in their great task of discipling their youth. Due to our desire to serve and connect leaders together, we hold equipping events throughout the year specifically to support leaders.
COURAGE TO HEAR, COURAGE TO HEAL
The prevalence is disturbing. It may surprise you, if not shock you.
At an Explicit youth event, we found that 30-40% of the girls were sexually abused. Two local pastors at different churches discovered at their respective men’s retreats that 80% of the men had experienced sexual abuse.
As concerned leaders, we must be equipped to create safe places in our communities and churches where people who are secretly struggling in shame can experience God’s compassion and begin their healing.
We urge you to forge the courage to hear the truth about the effect that sex abuse has on individuals, marriages and families, and break the silence to call forth the courage to heal!
