David Nisthal, MSW is an instructor at the Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work, and the program coordinator of the Hawaiʻi Child Welfare Education Collaboration (HCWEC). David received his Master of Social Work degree from the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and has since then worked with various populations and communities. One of Davidʻs current roles inludes serving the Oahu community as an educator for The Sex Abuse Treatment Center (SATC), providing sexual violence prevention education to youth and adults. Prior to these roles, David has served as a social worker working with juvenile sex offenders, adult clients on probationsupervision, and in an interm role at Leeward Community College as the director of Student Life.
Over the last several years Chris has been facilitating violence prevention workshops and trainings to students, faculty, and staff at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. He has a strong desire to help raise up the next generation of young men to discover their value and God given purpose in their family, work, community, and the world. Chris received his Masters in Social Work at the Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in 2011.
